CSR AIT Chowk Roundabout
AIT Chowk Development
AIT Chowk has been an important junction and is now on the Metro Map since the rapid Metro Line became functional. It is a landmark of the New improved city of Gurugram, and therefore more than ever before, needs to be developed and maintained as a significant node of the city. We have an opportunity to develop it as a visual marker as well as a visual and psychological respite from the busy vehicular spine and intersection.
A few important considerations that are dictating our design intent – low water consuming plus low maintenance planting, that will allow us to make it a responsible and a sustainable solution. We can in addition add a sculptural element to the design either by topiary or an art installation.
The attached samples of work by the SSAA M. Arch (Landscape Architecture) students are showcasing the planting design options. The best proposal will be selected for execution and maintenance.
